Chelsea boss Frank Lampard says Jorginho's ability is crucial for them in Europe.

The midfielder has started all of their Champions League games this season and Lampard has highlighted his vice-captain's ball-retaining qualities.

"It is a huge thing to have that talent in the number six role, the deep-lying midfield role," he said, "but also off the ball to help with the organisation of the team, to try and win the ball back as high up the pitch as we possibly can, to organise in front of him and have those talents to keep the ball moving and keep us playing.

"It is a very important part of what we are trying to do in the system that we are playing at the moment so in Jorgy, I have a lot of trust in how he can perform that role."
