Chelsea youngster Lewis Bate produced a sensational strike in their 8-1 FA Youth Cup victory over Barnsley on Saturday - leaving the Blues faithful desperate to see him break into the senior side.

Frank Lampard has not been afraid to give first-team opportunities to promising academy stars at Stamford Bridge, with Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount, Reece James, Billy Gilmour, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Fikayo Tomori all establishing themselves as key members of his squad.

He also handed senior debuts to Tino Anjorin, Armando Broja, Ian Maatsen and Marc Guehi during the 2019/20 campaign.

A number of other exciting Chelsea youth products will therefore hope to break into Lampard’s side in the near future, including 18-year-old midfielder Bate.
