Chelsea midfielder Lewis Baker proved the matchwinner for struggling Trabzonspor last night.
On a season-long loan with Trabzonspor, Baker hit a stunning direct free-kick for the only goal of the game against MKE Ankaragucu.
It's a crucial three points for Baker's club and he said afterwards, "Of course, it was an important goal for us. But the important thing for the result was that they did not score. It was that we could remain compact as a team. We defended this goal well, we were able to stand behind the goal, we did well defensively."
On his goal, Baker added: "In fact, I try this many times in training. I feel confident when I approach the ball. Therefore, the shot I tried from that side was also a goal today."
