Chelsea host Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon in what will be a serious test for Red Devils caretaker manager Michael Carrick.

The Blues are top of the table and in fine form both domestically and in Europe, thrashing Juventus 4-0 in the Champions League earlier this week.

Manchester United picked up a 2-0 win at Villarreal on Tuesday in Carrick’s first game in charge to boost morale after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s sacking, but they go into this one ninth in the Premier League and 12 points behind Thomas Tuchel’s side.

When is Chelsea vs Man Utd?

Chesea will be without Ben Chilwell for at least six weeks after damaging knee ligaments earlier this week, while Mateo Kovacic is also out.

Kai Havertz is fit to play, while N’Golo Kante is not officially ruled out but is unlikely to play after injuring his knee against Juventus.

Romelu Lukaku is available again after an ankle problem but he may still be on the bench rather than back in the starting XI.

Manchester United captain Harry Maguire is suspended, while Paul Pogba, Raphael Carane, Edinson Cavani and Mason Greenwood are out, with Luke Shaw and Fred doubts.
