Chelsea and Liverpool still keen on French midfielder
Chelsea and Liverpool continue to remain interested in signing AS Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, Calciomercato reports.
The 21-year-old was linked with the duo earlier this summer, but neither club made a formal approach for his services.
They are still keeping tabs on him, and have been impressed with his recent performances on international duty with France.
According to Calciomercato, Tchouameni could leave Monaco in January with Juventus keen on landing his services.
They are prepared to offload Aaron Ramsey and Weston McKennie to bring in the midfielder in the next transfer window.
However, they are expected to face stiff competition from the Blues and Reds, who are both eyeing midfield reinforcements.
The Reds did not replace Georginio Wijnaldum after his exit this summer, and they are keen to fill the void in the near future.
The Blues have sufficient options in the squad, but plan to bring in a young midfielder, who can establish himself in the long run.
