Emma Hayes and Fran Kirby have been nominated for October’s Barclays FA Women’s Super League Manager and Player of the Month awards and fans can now vote for them to win.

Pernille Harder secured September’s Goal of the Month award and now Hayes and Kirby are in the running for the October awards.

Hayes guided Chelsea to league victories against Brighton and Hove Albion and WSL newcomers Leicester City. Kirby provided the assists for all the goals in our 3-1 win against Brighton at Kingsmeadow earlier in the month.

The Blues forward set Guro Reiten up for the opening goal and delivered a pin-point cross for Sam Kerr to head in a second.

The No.14 then found Bethany England for our third goal which sealed the three points against the Seagulls.

Chelsea then made it back-to-back home league wins with a 2-0 victory against Leicester City and it was Kirby who sealed the points in stoppage time after Pernille Harder’s opener.

The No.14 raced onto a flick from Kerr and took one touch before slotting the ball home to secure the win and take the Blues to second in the league.Other manager nominees are: Jonas Eidevall (Arsenal), Olli Harder (West Ham United).

Other player nominees are: Hannah Blundell (Manchester United), Yui Hasegawa (West Ham United), Kirstie Levell (Brighton), Kim Little (Arsenal) Katie McCabe (Arsenal).

The awards are decided by a combination of votes from a panel and fans.
