Good afternoon and welcome along to football.london's live coverage of today's standout Premier League fixture between Chelsea and Manchester City.
The two title contenders face off at Stamford Bridge this afternoon with Thomas Tuchel's side looking to maintain their strong start to the campaign. Chelsea sit top of the early table having already travelled to Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham in their opening five games.
Man City, meanwhile, have dropped five points in their opening five fixtures and Pep Guardiola will not want to lose any further ground on the Blues or Liverpool, especially as the Catalan takes his side to Anfield in a week's time.
As Tuchel confirmed in yesterday's pre-match press conference, he will be without two key players. Christian Pulisic is not yet over the ankle injury he sustained during the previous international break while Mason Mount has a slight knock. It's the first game the academy graduate has missed due to a fitness issue since he became part of the first-team squad.
Chelsea go into the contest on the back of three consecutive victories against City. The last of which, of course, came in Porto in May in the Champions League final; Guardiola and his players will want to avenge that painful defeat.

A first defeat of the season for Chelsea as Man City secure a 1-0 win thanks to Gabriel Jesus' second-half goal.
On the balance of play, it's hard to argue that City didn't deserve that. Chelsea wer not at the races in the first half. They were better after changes were made in the second period but it wasn't enough.

The Blues are trying to find an equaliser here but they've not yet been able to open up City.
Mendy denies Grealish
The Chelsea goalkeeper is quickly off his line to save from Grealish.
Laporte wide
Good chance for City there as Laporte gets on the end of a free-kick but he guides his shot wide.
Kovacic shot deflected wide
Nice break forward from the Croatian ends with his shot being deflected wide. Chelsea can't make anything from the corner.
Chelsea carrying more threat
The introduction of Havertz has helped Chelsea look more threatening yet Ederson hasn't truly been tested.

Chelsea have the ball in the back of the net as Romelu Lukaku turns home a pass from Kai Havertz but the German was well offside in the build-up.

That could be a big moment as the Brazilian clears the ball off his own line from Jesus.

Manchester City have dominated possession and the game but as yet, they've not been able to find a way through.

The Belgian receives the ball 25 yards out and rasps a shot on goal that clears the crossbar.
City pushing
Chelsea have really struggled to impose themselves on this. It's been all City for the last few minutes. Plenty of corners but Chelsea defence just about dealing with them.
Chelsea forced into a change
Reece James, who was caught earlier on by Jack Grealish, can't continue. He's replaced by Thiago Silva.
That'll mean Andreas Christensen moves to the right of the back three and Silva will slot into the middle.
Werner denied
Chelsea manage to escape the City press and eventually Werner cuts inside and his effort is blocked.
First Chelsea break
First sign of the threat Chelsea will pose on the counter.
Alonso slips a pass through to Werner, who eases beyond Dias. His cross finds Lukaku but the Belgian can't get clean contact on his attempted shot at goal.
Ten minutes in
Chelsea have started to get a little more control to their game after that rapid start from Man City. Huge intensity from both sides.
