Chelsea fans loved seeing Thiago Silva's passion all throughout the London derby victory against Tottenham, with one moment in particular being spoken about on social media.

Silva produced a flawless defensive performance as he was part of the Blues rearguard that registered their fourth Premier League clean sheet already at the start of this new 2021/22 campaign.

His display was capped off with his lovely headed goal from a Marcos Alonso corner shortly after half-time which broke the deadline and opened up the floodgates for the Blues, who then went on to steamroll Nuno's Spurs in the second half.

Post-match, manager Thomas Tuchel described the performance of his tried and tested central defender as 'outstanding.'

He said: "Outstanding. He almost scored twice. He was so strong; Deliveries were good for his goals. We are very happy that he was able to score to open the game for us today. But the performance even in the first half was outstanding, fantastic. Well deserved, he was outstanding today."

Tuchel's sentiment was reflected amongst the supporters on social media who loved what the 36-year-old did after scoring his first goal of the season.
