Chelsea have paraded the Champions League trophy around Stamford Bridge ahead of their friendly fixture against Tottenham on Wednesday evening.

The Blues were unable to have an open-top bus tour due to Coronavirus recitations when they won the trophy last May.

Chelsea captured their second Champions League in their history when Kai Havertz slotted the ball past Ederson just before half-time.

It was an all English final as Pep Guardiola's Manchester City attempted to win their first European triumph since a Cup Winners Cup in 1970.

And Chelsea have finally had the chance to show off the silverware to their fans.

Chelsea, before their triumph last campaign, last won the Champions League in 2012.

Didier Drogba's penalty helped to pull the trophy out of Bayern Munich's grasp at the Allianz Arena, Bayern's own backyard.

Their 2021 triumph was slightly different, and when Havertz netted the only goal of the game, he did so in front of a vastly reduced masked crowd.

Chelsea looked a transformed side under Thomas Tuchel, who took over in January, and the Blues made a late push for the European spots after floundering mid-table.
