Inter Milan have rejected an offer of £100million plus Marcus Alonso for Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea.

Inter claimed their first scudetto in a decade last season, and their success was mainly down to the reemergence of the Belgian.

Lukaku bagged 24 goals and ten assists in 36 games in the Serie A last campaign.

The Belgian has previously spent time at Chelsea - between 2011 and 2014 - however, he failed to break into the first team, spending the majority of his spell out on loan.

And, according to Sky Sports Italia, Chelsea have had their latest attempt to re-sign Lukaku rejected by the Italian side.

Inter need to cut their wage bill over with rising financial problems, and Antonio Conte left his post as Inter boss over concerns about budget planning in May.

Sky Sports' Kaveh Solhekol has claimed Lukaku is settled in Italy, and he said: "As far as the player is concerned, Lukaku is 100 per cent committed and focused on doing his job at Inter Milan.

"He loves playing at Inter, he is not going to kick up a fuss, and his attitude has been exemplary.

“Antonio Conte's departure doesn't concern Lukaku because he's been rejuvenated since joining the club.

"Why would he leave Inter Milan?"
