Tuchel comments on Zouma's Chelsea future amid West Ham links

Hello and welcome along to football.london's Chelsea transfer news live blog.

Transfer deadline day is fast approaching, and Blues fans will be hoping for a bolstered squad going into an important first full season for Thomas Tuchel.

So far, goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli is the sole new signing on a free transfer following his release from Fulham and he is expected to provide competition for Edouard Mendy and Kepa Arrizabalaga next season.

Meanwhile, Chelsea continue to be linked with big moves for Erling Haaland, Declan Rice and Jules Kounde, but news emerged yesterday that they have now made former Blues striker, Romelu Lukaku, their number one target up front, after it was made clear that signing Haaland is going to be extremely difficult.

There are also expected to be several outgoings before the end of the window, too. The club’s most recent sale was that of academy prospect Tino Livramento, who has completed a permanent deal to Southampton.

With that said, make sure you stick with us here at football.london throughout the day.
