Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia could step up in her pursuit of Romelu Lukaku this summer as the club look to help Thomas Tuchel's playing squad claim Premier League glory.

Having lifted the Champions League last season with a win over Manchester City, the Blues are looking to add the domestic crown to the trophy cabinet for the first time since 2017.

While Tuchel was delighted with his players last time out, he will be looking to see the squad strengthened this summer to stay one step ahead of their rivals.

Daily Star Sport have now taken a look at three of the latest updates coming out of Stamford Bridge, one of which concerns what any new signings will be wearing this season.

The Telegraph report that Lukaku has 'jumped back to the top' of Chelsea's wanted list of strikers this summer following his Serie A heroics with Inter Milan last season.

The club had been leading the chase for Erling Haaland of Dortmund, but he seems content to remain in the Bundesliga for at least one more full season.

The Belgium forward played for the club between 2011 and 2014, but only made 10 Premier League appearances before joining Everton on a permanent deal.

Tuchel hinted after the victory over Arsenal that the club have another spot for a midfielder following the loan exit of Billy Gilmour and uncertainty surrounding Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

He said: "There's a minimum one space there because Billy left us which is good for his personal career and personal development because he was fighting with N'Golo Kante, Jorginho and Mateo [Kovacic], one of the best midfields in the world.

"He was very helpful in the last season and now he goes on loan to get more minutes. This is how to improve him, it was a good decision."
