Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is looking to make the most of his first summer transfer window despite not making any major signings thus far.

The German guided the Blues to European glory despite only arriving midseason.

He has worked with the squad that was lavishly assembled by Frank Lampard last term, but Roman Abramovich is again ready to back his manager.

A striker is high on the club's wish list with Tammy Abraham linked with the exit door.

No one has yet arrived despite the likes of Erling Haaland and Romelu Lukaku being tracked.

These are the latest transfer rumours coming out of Stamford Bridge.

Jules Kounde is keen on a move to west London

Kounde keen on switch

Jules Kounde is keen on a move to Chelsea this summer but a deal with Sevilla is yet to be agreed, according to Duncan Castles, via the Sport Review.

The French centre-half has been a star for the La Liga outfit in recent years and has attracted admiring glances from Europe's elite.

Blues boss Thomas Tuchel is looking to bolster his options in what is his first summer transfer window.

Chelsea already have a host of options at the centre of defence, but now want to add Kounde, who himself wants to move to Stamford Bridge.

A cash-plus-player deal involving Kurt Zouma has been touted.

Blues consider Odegaard

Chelsea are ready to rival Arsenal for the signing of Martin Odegaard this summer, according to reports in Spain.

The Norwegian spent the latter part of last season on loan at the Emirates having moved temporarily from Real Madrid.

Odegaard showed his class in north London and the Gunners would like him to return permanently.

But according to Spanish outlet Fichajes, the Blues are considering him as a summer target.

Odegaard's Madrid contract includes a huge release clause so it may require them to lower their expectations.

However Chelsea will only make an approach should Hakim Ziyech or Kai Havertz depart this summer.

Barkley a loan target

Newcastle are considering a loan move for Ross Barkley in the coming weeks.

The Chronicle claims Steve Bruce’s side are eyeing up a swoop for the 28-year-old, who spent last term at Aston Villa, this month.

Newcastle benefited hugely from the midseason arrival of Joe Willock, who joined on loan from Arsenal, and are again looking for some creative flair.

Barkley is being seen as an alternative to Willock, who may be part of Mikel Arteta's plans at Arsenal.
