Chelsea continue to look for ways to improve Thomas Tuchel 's side before the start of the Premier League.

The Blues have signed Fulham stopper Marcus Bettinelli this week, with the goalkeeper becoming the first new addition at Stamford Bridge so far this window.

But fans are desperate to see Erling Haaland arrive from Borussia Dortmund before next month's deadline, despite his £150m price tag.

Chelsea will also be looking to offload players in the coming weeks as well, with Tuchel keen to trim his bulky squad.

And Daily Star Sport has rounded up all the day's transfer news from west London.

Haaland problem

Manchester United believe Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s new long-term deal improves their chances of landing Erling Haaland - next summer.

Thomas Tuchel's European champions Chelsea are still in pole position to strike in the current window should Borussia Dortmund relent and cash In on the £150million-rated Norwegian hitman.

However, if the transfer stalemate between the Germans and Blues persists, it plays into United’s hands - thanks to Solskjaer’s increasing position of strength in the Old Trafford hotseat.

The Reds boss signed a three-year contract last weekend – and the club’s hierarchy are continuing to back him big time in the transfer market.

Abraham exit concern

Chelsea may struggle to offload Tammy Abraham to Arsenal this summer.

That's according to Gunners legend Nigel Winterburn.

Abraham has been cast aside by Tuchel and looks to have no future at Stamford Bridge under the German boss.

But Winterburn thinks Arsenal won't pay £40m for his services - given the amount of attacking talent they have at the Emirates already.

“He certainly would fit the bill of recent Arsenal signings, young with a point to prove," the two-time title-winner told Goal.

“People will question his consistency but what you want is for these young players to get a run in the team.

“Is he going to get a run in a team if Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is playing well? Probably not unless Aubameyang can be switched to the left-hand side – although you then need to leave out either Nicolas Pepe or Bukayo Saka.

“With Abraham, there’s potential there and development for a young, young player.

"So, I think it’s an option [for] Arsenal, although with Alexandre Lacazette being linked with a move away, it could be just a name that has been thrown into a hat.”

Kounde price tag

Chelsea have been told they will need to cough up €80m (£68m) to land Jules Kounde this summer.

Tuchel is said to be keen on the Sevilla defender.

But Mundo Deportivo report the La Liga club want a hefty fee for his services.

Meanwhile, Kurt Zouma is said to prefer a move to West Ham - despite being used a potential makeweight in the Kounde deal.
