Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham will reportedly leave Stamford Bridge this summer with Aston Villa and West Ham United among the clubs interested.

But according to the latest update from the Mirror, the London club are keen to include the striker in a potential swap deal to land Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland.

Haaland, 20, is top of Chelsea’s targets this summer, and, as they value Abraham at around £50m, they’re hopeful a cash-plus-player deal will significantly bring down the fee for the Norway international.

Chelsea fans have shared their views on this latest update, and they’re far from confident this rumoured deal can be completed.

“Dortmund won’t accept it. Simple as that,” one supporter said. “If Chelsea are able to sell Tammy Abraham to a Premier League Club for £40m that would be great. Use that money to buy Haaland.”

Another fan added: “Will Dortmund ever accept the deal? That’s the problem.”

“I don't think BVB will entertain this deal,” said another. “They might prefer cash only or if they like Abraham they might prefer Chelsea to lower his price tag perhaps £30m - £35m.”

@fpasha10 continued: “They’ll laugh at us for making that bid.”

One fan tweeted: “Lol. We think we can just assign any value we like on our player and use him in player plus cash deals. Pay the money, Dortmund have shown they won't budge. Did the Sancho-United debacle not teach anyone anything?”

Richard Parkin said: “If we offer £100M plus Abraham to Borussia Dortmund for Haaland then they will reject this without hesitation. Dortmund will want £150M at least nothing less if they are to be persuaded to sell Haaland this summer.”

Abraham’s impressive spell at Villa Park in the 2018/2019 season that helped earn the club promotion back into the Premier League has led to plenty of speculation over a return to the Midlands on a permanent basis.

Dean Smith relied heavily on Ollie Watkins last term, so a backup striker will certainly be in his thinking this transfer window.

Should Chelsea fail in their plans to include Abraham in a swap deal, a Premier League switch may still be on the cards for the 23-year-old.
