Negotiations to close on the departure of Inter’s Achraf Hakimi are heating up, with Paris Saint-German thought to be preparing a cash offer which meets the Nerazzurri’s valuation while Chelsea will make their most valuable offer yet including players.

This is according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the English club are willing to offer €50 million plus Marcos Alonso and Davide Zappacosta for the Moroccan.

PSG are still thought to be firm favourites, with a cash-only offer the preference of Inter owner Steven Zhang and Paris the destination which Hakimi as chosen.

The Parisians have not formally submitted their highest offer, but it is thought that it will arrive by the weekend, with the French club ready to offer €70 million including add-ons, while the Nerazzurri want the €70 million amount prior to any add-ons.

PSG’s main rivals for the Moroccan, Chelsea, still believe that they are in the race, however, and will submit their best offer in the coming days.

The blues have been attempting to persuade the Nerazzurri with the inclusion of players throughout the negotiating process, and will hope that €50 million plus Alonso and Zappacosta will be enough to meet the player’s valuation for Inter.

Alonso is thought to be Inter’s top target for a left-sided player, while Zappacosta is a player that the Nerazzurri might consider to be a partial Hakimi replacement.

At the moment indications are that Inter are ready to accept PSG’s cash offer, but it will be seen in the coming days whether a last-ditch effort by Chelsea could swing the race in their favour.
