Chelsea loanee Fikayo Tomori scored his first goal for AC Milan on Sunday in a 3-0 win over Juventus at the Allianz Arena.

Cristiano Ronaldo was largely ineffective throughout the contest.

But as he watched the defender head home Milan's third, he might not have realised that one of his Serie A records had just been snatched from him.

Earlier in the match, Stefano Pioli's men had ran riot after Brahim Diaz's brilliant strike before half-time gave the away side the lead.

Ante Rebic doubled the scoreline late on in one of the worst performances at home by Juventus under Andrea Pirlo.

And after Samu Castillejo floated a ball into the area in the 82nd minute, Tomori jumped an extraordinary height to meet it.

In fact, he recorded the highest jump to score in Serie A history - leaping up to 8 ft 7 to power a header past Wojciech Szczesny.

That beats Ronaldo's record when he famously nodded past Sampdoria in December 2019.

A clip of the five-time Ballon d'Or winner's goal went viral which showed the forward in slow-motion rising highest in almost superhuman form.

But Tomori's jump has now beaten the 36-year-old's as his future continues to attract speculation.

AC Milan are desperate to keep hold of the England international, who was loaned out in January by Chelsea after falling down the pecking order under Frank Lampard.

Part of the deal included a clause that means the Italian side can sign the 23-year-old on a permanent basis for a fee worth £25m plus £5m in additional costs.

Chelsea fans are not happy with the deal with Tomori continuing to impress while in Serie A.

And it comes amid news that the Blues are trying to sign a central defender with Kurt Zouma tipped to leave.
