Welcome to football.london's live coverage of Chelsea vs Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea will be looking to take another giant stride towards Champions League qualification tonight as they welcome Arsenal across the capital (8.15pm kick-off).
Fresh from their 2-1 victory over Manchester City - who have since been crowned Premier League champions - at the Etihad Stadium, Thomas Tuchel's men know another three points against the Gunners could all but guarantee a top-four finish if Liverpool slip up against Manchester United tomorrow (and due to West Ham United's lesser goal difference).
For Arsenal, the story is markedly different. After bowing out of the Europa League at the semi-final stage, they still have a slim chance of some sort of European football next season, but will need three points at Stamford Bridge to maintain those hopes.
You can follow all the build-up, team news, live action and reaction in our blog below with our Chelsea correspondents Sam Inkersole and Adam Newson and our Arsenal reporters Chris Wheatley and Kaya Kaynak.
Player ratings
It was a good night for Arsenal Smith Rowe and Partey stood out in particular. Bukayo Saka struggled though and you can see how he and the whole Arsenal team got on in Kaya Kaynak's player ratings.
1-0 to The Arsenal
First win for Arsenal at Stamford Bridge since October 2011. The Gunners defended resolutely but were a little fortunate at times. Elneny particularly impressive at the base of midfield, while Smith Rowe came up trumps with another goal for Mikel Arteta's side. A well-earned three points.
Full time
Arsenal win the London derby 1-0 thanks to Emile Smith Rowe's first half goal. They defended like warriors, Chelsea were insipid.
Clang x2
Zouma hits the bar with a header and then Giroud also clatters the woodwork on the follow up. When your luck is out, your luck is out.
Save
Leno comfortable gets down to Pulisic's effort, who was on the stretch and couldn't get enough on the ball to force the keeper into a meaningful stop.
Arsenal sub
Aubameyang is replaced by Lacazette. The Arsenal captain is clearly not happy about being taken off as he shakes his head while walking towards the dugout.
Last throw of the dice [0-1]
Tuchel has thrown on Hakim Ziyech to replace Azpiliocueta as Chelsea go to a back four.
Arsenal attack
Arsenal coming back into the game after Chelsea's second half pressure. Odegaard has struggled tonight and skies his shot over the crossbar.
Offside! [0-1]
Chelsea have the ball in the net as Pulisic bundles home from a corner but he's miles offside as it comes off a Chelsea head in the box. VAR rules it out.
Tierney back on
In typical Kieran Tierney style he comes straight back on. As you were...
Tierney down
The Arsenal left-back is receiving treatment for a knee injury. Doesn't look good for the former Celtic man who twisted his knee as he landed on the ground.
No penalty [0-1]
Gabriel bundles over Havertz in the box, big shouts from the Chelsea players for a penalty but Andre Marriner says no.
Back underway [0-1]
It's not Pulisic who has come off, it's Billy Gilmour. Second half has kicked off.
Half time change
Callum Hudson-Odoi is coming on at half time. Not sure who he is replacing but suspect Christian Pulisic might be a candidate to make way.
Half time, Chelsea 0-1 Arsenal
The visitors lead at the break thanks to Emile Smith Rowe's strike as Arsenal pounced on a howler from Jorginho.
Chelsea have huffed and puffed but cannot break through the Gunners' 10-man block, Kai Havertz wasted the biggest chance of the lot with the game at 0-0.
Thomas Tuchel will not be happy.
Chelsea pressure [0-1]
The Blues force a couple of corners that don't come to anything. Starting to knock on the door.
Better from the hosts [0-1]
Azpilicueta did really well, found Pulisic at the byline and Mount meets the USA star's cutback flush but Rob Holding produces a fine block.
GOAL!
Jorginho gifts Arsenal a goal on 15 minutes. Emile Smith Rowe gets his second Premier League goal for the Gunners after Aubameyang puts it on a plate for the England youngster.
Huge miss [0-0]
Kai Havertz bursts through after Pablo Mari's error and has just Bernd Leno to beat but he completely skies it. Really bad miss, Chelsea should be one up.
Early shot [0-0]
Mason Mount gets an effort away from a tight angle but it's comfortable for Bernd Leno.
Ashley Cole on Sky Sports
It’s a happy environment. I can see the way he works and now I can understand him when I watch Chelsea. It was brilliant for me as a young coach, he has got the players onside.
The unforced errors are gone but so far, he has done a great job. Hopefully next season will be even better.
Tuchel on his team selection
It doesn’t feel like we have so many changes. Some of them are out for just one match so they still have two matches in a week. We think we have a strong line-up.
Seven changes is a lot but it doesn’t seem like we have a completely inexperienced squad out there.
Some odds for you
Chelsea have kept a clean sheet in seven of their eight Premier League home games under Thomas Tuchel they are 15/8 with Betfair to win to nil tonight.
Match odds:
Chelsea 20/23
Draw 5/2
Arsenal 18/5
Arteta on Chelsea
Frank [Lampard] did a really good job. He [Tuchel] has inherited a really good team, improved, through to two finals, all credit to him because what he has done is remarkable.
Reaction to Chelsea's team news
Kepa is the headline inclusion for Chelsea this evening - is it a case of momentum ahead of the FA Cup final (he has started in every round so far) or resting Edouard Mendy ahead of the match?
No surprise to see Mason Mount and Jorginho return, Kante being rested entirely is an interesting call, likewise for Antonio Rudiger.
No Tammy Abraham on the bench either which is a big call. Unless he's injured then understandable but if not...serious questions about his future
Initial reaction
Mikel Arteta likes to keep us guessing with his team selections and this one to face Chelsea is certainly no different.
It looks as though the Gunners are lining up with a back five for the first time since December which could be an attempt to match up against Tuchel's system or just an attempt at damaged limitation from the very off.
The most curious decision within the selection though is that Arsenal have three right backs on the bench and not one on the pitch. It appears that Bukayo Saka will be playing the right wing back role while Cedric, Calum Chambers and Hector Bellerin watch on from the break.
If it goes right he'll be a tactical genius. If it doesn't however...
