CHELSEA are fully focused on landing either Erling Haaland or Romelu Lukaku this summer as Thomas Tuchel prioritises a new striker, according to reports.

The Blues - like rivals Manchester City and United - need a No9 when the transfer market reopens.

And according to Bild's Christian Falk, Chelsea are prioritising either of Europe's leading hitmen.

But the report adds the West Londoners are not pursuing a chase for Haaland's Borussia Dortmund team-mate Jude Bellingham.

Chelsea have struggled in front of goal this season.

Tammy Abraham, frozen out under Tuchel, penalty-specialist Jorginho and Mason Mount lead the scoring charts with six Premier League goals.

Next on the list, with five, are £48million signing Timo Werner and Kurt Zouma.

It is clear a centre-forward to lead the line and bang in the goals could be the missing piece in Tuchel's squad.

Lukaku has 27 goals in 39 Inter Milan appearances this term while Haaland boasts a stunning record of 35 in 37.

However, aside from the financial demands, Chelsea would face an uphill task landing either player.

Haaland, 20, is top of the transfer wish list for many of Europe's biggest clubs including Real Madrid and Barcelona.

To make matters worse, Dortmund's sporting director Michael Zorc insisted their star man will stay at the club.

Lukaku, meanwhile, could be a target for Manchester City with Sergio Aguero leaving at the end of the season.

And Chelsea's hopes of re-signing their former forward could be dashed by the Belgian's comments last April regarding a Premier League return.

He was asked on Twitter if he will 'ever play in the Premier League again and will it be back at Everton?'

Lukaku, 27, replied: "I don't think so but I loved my time at Everton for real."

He added a thinking emoji when asked about an MLS switch and revealed he would definitely keen to return to Anderlecht one day.
