Chelsea can’t be ruled out of making a move for Tottenham star Harry Kane this summer, according to talkSPORT host Adrian Durham.

Kane has been linked with an exit from Spurs with reports suggesting he will look to leave if the club fail to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

Manchester United were heavy favourites to sign the England star, though that now looks less likely following a bust up between managers Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Jose Mourinho.

And Durham believes Chelsea could pounce for Kane while Manchester City have also been linked with a move.

“I don’t have any kind of information that Harry Kane is going to Chelsea but you cannot rule Chelsea out,” Durham said.

“You all forget that Chelsea are expected to reach the Champions League semi-finals.

“They are regularly competitive in Europe, if they’re not in the Champions League, they WIN the Europa League. They don’t just take part, they win the flipping thing.

“This is a successful football club, the most successful football club in London of recent times and what do we know about London? Harry Kane loves living in it.

“So if he’s going to join another London club to stay at home then it probably will be Chelsea.”

Many believe Kane should leave Tottenham to further his career with Spurs being without a trophy since 2008.

Though Kane recently insisted he wasn’t focusing on the future, saying during the international break: “It’s important that all my focus is on the two England games coming up now and the rest of the season with Spurs and then the Euros.

“To be thinking about speculation or rumours would be damaging in terms of my own performance.

“I always like to be focused on one goal and one job and that’s to finish strong with Spurs, win these qualifiers with England and hopefully go on and have a great Euros.

“Look, I try to stay out of that speculation as much as possible. I’m fully focused on doing the job on the pitch from now until the end of the summer and then we’ll see where we go from there.”
