Chelsea will face Real Madrid in the Champions League semi finals after Los Blancos secured a 0-0 draw at Anfield to progress from their quarter final 3-1 on aggregate.
The Blues held out for a 1-0 loss last night in their own quarter against Porto, knowing their 2-0 first leg triumph was taking them through.

It has been a long time since Chelsea took on Madrid in Europe – in fact 1998 was the last time we played them competitively, when we beat them in the Super Cup after we’d won the Cup Winners’ Cup before that.
Thomas Tuchel had hinted that this was his preferred outcome because he liked playing sides that he doesn’t play domestically. It’s probably a harder draw given how bad Liverpool have been at times this season, but it’s also a more interesting one.
The game will be played at the end of this month, with the second a week later in the first week of May. It’s all incredibly close.
