Fulham v Chelsea – Match Day Moments

|

The West London derby is the focus this weekend as Chelsea attempt to get back on the trail of a top four place.

After a poor run of results, in the Premier League, Chelsea supporters will be hoping they can get the much-needed win that will ease the pressure on Frank Lampard.

However, Scott Parker, the Fulham boss and ex-Chelsea player, will be hoping his side can continue to add to Chelsea’s misery and also grab the three points that will help them climb away from the relegation places.

Clearly, the game has all the makings of a thrilling encounter.

As is the norm, we are running our Match Day Moments feature where we encourage you to leave your views, in the comment facility beneath this article, on several subjects including, but not limited to:

1 – The build up to the big West London derby.

2 – The starting XI selected by Frank Lampard.

3 – The action as it happens at Craven Cottage.

4 – Your thoughts in the immediate period that follows the sounding of the final whistle.

I am hoping that we are celebrating a win and that or charge towards a top-four place is resumed.

No cutting edge in the first half but a rash challenge loses Fulham one player & hopefully we should make that count in the 2nd

1-0 …phew …. We slowed down a bit after the goal …. And I thought we should have tried for the set piece goal when we got the corner in the 90th minute …instead we tried to kill time but hardly managed to kill 15 seconds of the 5 minutes of ET ..anyway we held on & it’s a precious 3 PTS

If Chelsea don’t make top-4 this year most likely Lampard will be replaced & that would be really sad …. So I really hope our form improves & quickly.

0-2 to Leicester City, if it stays that way Chelsea are in deep trouble in the top-4 race & Lampard’s job in deep danger.

0-2 it ends. Sorry to say but it looks unlikely our favourite son Lamps will keep his job. Couldn’t blame the board if it happens as we have looked slow & bereft of ideas going forward, and full of mistakes at the back.
Things improved towards the end, but possibly not enough to keep the managers job.

I have said it again. We love Lampard as a legend in our club. But as a manager he has already shown that he is not good enough for a club of our caliber. Some others managers would have had all those quality youngsters firing in all cylinders in that league by now. So it’s time to replace Lampard with someone with more experience and ideas, before finding ourselves finishing the season at midtable.
