Premier League pair Ralph Hasenhuttl and Brendan Rodgers are both on a five-man shortlist of managers who could replace Frank Lampard if Chelsea opt for a change in the dugout.

Pressure is mounting on the Blues boss who saw his side lose 2-0 at Leicester on Tuesday night.

It was their fifth loss in their last eight league games as they failed to close in on the top four.

Roman Abramovich invested heavily in the summer with the west London outfit spending more than £200m.

A poor run of form however has seen Chelsea lose pace with the leading pack and their flaws were exposed at the King Power Stadium.

Abramovich's lack of patience is no secret and Lampard will be all too aware of that his job is on the line with the Blues eighth in the table.

Frank Lampard again saw his side lose

As such five men have been identified as potential replacements, reports Bild.

Rodgers has the Foxes sitting top following their win over Chelsea, although they have played more games than their rivals.

He was once on the coaching staff at Stamford Bridge and is on their radar.

His attractive style of football will no doubt be plus while Hasenhuttl continues to overachieve with Southampton.

The Saints recently saw off Liverpool and sit level on points with the Blues.

Options are also being considered from abroad with the recently sacked PSG boss Thomas Tuchel heavily linked.

The German's immediate availability will no doubt be a plus and that is also the case with Massimiliano Allegri.

Manchester United and Arsenal have been linked with the former Juventus boss, but he has been without a job for 18 months.

Allegri though has a stellar CV with Serie A titles in Turin and Milan.

He would bring with him a more pragmatic approach but that may be what a young Chelsea side needs.

One man used to working with young players is Julian Nagelsmann who has performed wonders at RB Leipzig.

His stock, especially in Germany, is particularly high and the 33-year-old has been tipped for the top.

Lampard is Chelsea's 10th permanent manager in Abramovich's 18-year ownership of the club.
