Here is your Chelsea morning digest on Wednesday, January 13.

Blues lead race for Moro

Chelsea are leading the race with other top European clubs to sign Lazio winger Raul Moro, according to La Lazio Siamo Noi (via Team Talk ).

Moro, formerly of Barcelona academy, is frustrated with the lack of game time he's getting for the Serie A club.

The 18-year-old doesn't have too much first-team experience, but is a subject of interest from numerous big clubs, the report claims.

One of them is the Blues, who are 'considerably' interested in the teenage talent, while other Premier League sides are also said to be keen.

A 'top club' in Italy are also looking to make a move for Moro, but the report did not name them.

Parker's major concern

Fulham boss Scott Parker doesn't have an issue with the tight turnaround between the matches his side have to play as they face the prospect of three games in a week.

Parker's side are due to play Chelsea at Craven Cottage on Saturday evening, and the schedule could've been even more packed for the Blues' west London rivals.

Frank Lampard's side agreed to move their clash with Fulham from Friday night to Saturday evening - to hand both sides more preparation time.

The Cottagers will face Tottenham on Wednesday after Spurs' match against Aston Villa was postponed due to a coronavirus outbreak.

Fulham's initial game against Jose Mourinho's side was meant to be played on December 30, but has now been re-arranged - and Parker only found out on Monday.

The Cottagers manager said: “The tight turnaround isn't the issue. We can play Wednesday-Friday, Wednesday-Saturday, the issue is as a manager of a football club is the training.

"It would be very different to where we are now.

"I just think it's wrong. I keep going back, thinking 'has this happened before?' I just wouldn't have expected it, it's wrong. It's a predicament we're all in, I'd be the last to complain, we don't play in Europe.

“The problem is the time we've been told. It's beyond belief really.”

Haaland stat that proves Blues should sign him

Erling Haaland has been linked with a move to Chelsea recently, and this latest statistic has shown exactly why Roman Abramovich should spend big on the Borussia Dortmund star.

Haaland has scored 19 goals in 16 games in all competitions this season so far - highlighting the Norway striker's immense talent.

On Saturday, the 20-year-old netted a brace to help Dortmund win 3-1 over high-fliers RB Leipzig, setting a new record in the process.

His two goals against Leipzig ensured he became the first player in Bundesliga history to score 25 goals in his first 25 league matches.

Despite the Blues now having Timo Werner at their disposal, if they could land Haaland in the summer, he could turn them into serious title contenders.
