There are three weeks to go in the January transfer window and while things may be relatively quiet at the moments, it's expected to hot up towards the end of the window.
Chelsea are yet to make any moves but it looks likely some players will be departing Stamford Bridge in search of regular game time.
Here are the latest rumours doing the rounds involving the Blues.
Barkley future
Chelsea are not willing to let midfielder Ross Barkley leave on the cheap.
The England international is currently on a season-long loan at Aston Villa and although he has impressed in the Midlands, there is uncertainty over his long term future.
Dean Smith's side have been linked with Bournemouth's David Brooks who represents a younger and potentially cheaper alternative to Barkley.
Birmingham Live report the Blues would still seek a big fee for Barkley, who has two and a half years left on his contract in west London. He is also on around £100,000 a week.
Tomori to Newcastle
With Blues boss Frank Lampard saying defender Fikayo Tomori could head out on loan, his availability has sparked the interest of a number of sides.
Newcastle United have scouted the centre-back on a number of occasions so could be keen on luring him north.
The Newcastle Chronicle report the club would have to free up space in the squad, however, to make way for Tomori's arrival.
Lampard said: "The situation with Fikayo is open at the moment. There is a possibility he could be going on loan to get games somewhere else.
"So that would have to be the solution for him and the club. But his attitude, even though he hasn’t played much recently, has been fantastic in training and in how he is."
Boost for Upamecano chase
Chelsea have been handed a boost in the race to sign RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano.
The centre-back is wanted by a whole host of top European clubs after impressing in the Bundesliga.

Leipzig's CEO Oliver Mintzlaff has openly admitted the club would be willing to sell their top star players - with Upamecano certainly falling into that category.
"We have a squad that is very broad in terms of quality," he said, via Manchester Evening News.
"So we will sell top performers again if it makes financial sense and we can cope with it from a sporting point of view."
