Callum Hudson-Odoi has just been substituted after another impressive performance.
Frank Lampard has withdrawn the winger after 80 minutes where he scored a nice goal and threatened down both flanks repeatedly.
That comes on the back of a few solid showings in the Premier League too.
It will be interesting to see whether he now starts against Fulham next week, as Lampard looks for a new setup that will get the best out of the talents at his disposal. It would seem hard to leave him out at this point, although Timo Werner, Olivier Giroud, Tammy Abraham, Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic are all pushing to be included in a front 3.
Fans on social media seemed to enjoy the winger’s showing, and they were full of praise for his bright and hard-working display. He “needs to start” say some, and it’s hard to disagree.

This was all about finding some positivity and momentum for Chelsea today, particularly for the likes of Werner and Havertz, so they got what Lampard set out to achieve. Now the test is can they take it into the PL against better oppo? Also thought CHO and Gilmour good.

Good step forward. Struggled to break them down at times, but some better movements and link up play in the second half. Confidence booster for the Germans, and Hudson-Odoi is now a key player for us – must start. pic.twitter.com/Wv4MjpWAjT
