(Video): Kai Havertz assists Timo Werner for his easiest ever goal

Phew.

Chelsea picked a strong team for this one, and it looked set to backfire as the Blues prepared to head in just 1-0 up at half time against inferior opposition.

But on the verge of the break, Kai Havertz found space to head a ball back cross goal and Timo Werner was on hand to put the ball across the line.

Those two needed the confidence more than anyone – so we’re delighted they’re involved already. Now it’s’ crucial we carry on like this in the second period and stack up the goals and the confidence.
