It’s a classic FA Cup third round mismatch on Sunday afternoon when Morecambe make the trip to west London to play Chelsea.

The Shrimps are involved in a tight League Two promotion battle and are currently in the fourth and final play-off position in the table.

Their third round tie against Chelsea is a reward for beating non-league Malton & Tiptree and Solihull Moors in the first two rounds of this season’s FA Cup.

Chelsea’s recent form has seen them win just one of their last five Premier League matches, a run that has put the pressure on manager Frank Lampard.

However, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him ring the changes to his starting XI on Sunday.

What time is Chelsea vs Morecambe?

It’s a 1.30pm kick-off in west London on Sunday, the same time as a number of other third round ties including Manchester City vs Birmingham City and Crawley Town vs Leeds.

The FA Cup has come at just the right time for Frank Lampard.

On the crest of a slump - just one win in seven games - when it comes to the cup Chelsea have only conceded one goal in their last seven FA Cup games against lower league opponents at Stamford Bridge.

They have also won 13 of their last 14 FA Cup home matches overall since 2015 and they have kept a clean sheet in seven of their last eight FA Cup home fixtures.

Which is why they are an unbackable 1/16 to triumph against the Seasiders and 1/2 to win to nil.
