Chelsea are eager to part ways with Danny Drinkwater and Baba Rahman in January in a bid to try and sign Declan Rice.

It is no secret that we were very keen to try and secure the services of Rice in the summer transfer window, but could not afford to spend over £60 million trying to secure a deal for the Englishman.

So Rice stayed and we finished up all their transfer business in the summer, but after seeing the Hammers midfielder make another great start to the new Premier League season, there has been alot of interest in the media that the Blues will try to reignite their interest in signing Rice in January.

But in order to complete a transfer deal for the talented young man, we will need to sell a few players, raise a bit of money and make some space for the potential arrival of the Midfielder.

Drinkwater has not made a senior appearance since March 2018, and has been well down the pecking order at the club ever since he made the move from Leicester just a few seasons ago.

While forgotten man Rahman is another player that is no longer required at the Bridge and could also be on his way out of Stamford Bridge after three loan spells since his £23million move in 2015.

Rice is a top-class midfielder that has is ready to play for a bigger club, so the sooner he makes that next step, the sooner he will become one of the very best players in the game.
