Our home Premier League fixture against Newcastle United will now be played a day later after being selected for live television broadcast.

We had originally been scheduled to host Newcastle at Stamford Bridge on Saturday 12 March, but that match will now be played the next day, on Sunday 13 March, with kick-off taking place at 2pm (UK time). The game will also now be shown live on Sky Sports.

Our first meeting with the Magpies this season was a 3-0 win for Chelsea at St James' Park, when two powerful efforts from Reece James fired us into the lead after half-time, before Jorginho's penalty wrapped things up. However, Newcastle have since appointed Eddie Howe as their manager and have gone three games without defeat in the top flight.

Their last visit to the Bridge also ended in a Blues victory, as Olivier Giroud and Timo Werner both netted in the first half to give us a 2-0 win in February last year, Thomas Tuchel's third home game as Chelsea head coach.
