Chelsea have been forced to change their away dressing room facilities after complaints by fellow Premier League clubs, reports have claimed.

The Blues won their first Premier League game in five outings on Sunday with the 2-0 victory over bitter rivals Tottenham courtesy of a Hakim Ziyech screamer and a Thiago Silva header

Thomas Tuchel's men still sit third - albeit arguably out of the title race - after signalling Antonio Conte's first league loss at Tottenham manager since his arrival.

There are certain issues to be addressed in west London, with the fallout from Romelu Lukaku's controversial interview still fresh in the mind of Blues fans.

However, another one has emerged after complaints from sides that have visited Stamford Bridge's away dressing rooms - with Liverpool and Brighton moaning about the facilities on offer at the European champions.

A report by the Mirror states that Liverpool chiefs and Brighton boss Graham Potter are understood to have been unhappy about the size of the visiting facilities.

Their complaints have forced Chelsea into a revamp, making them adhere to the tough COVID-19 guidelines.

The Blues have made the away dressing room larger by knocking through into the press room next door, making the media area smaller as a result.

The home dressing room is famed for being much more luxurious than the visiting one.

However, Premier League rules now state that away dressing rooms must be a certain size to allow for greater social distancing.

Liverpool complained after their 2-2 draw in west London on January 3, with Brighton lodging their issue when they faced the Blues just days before.

The dressing room and tunnel area are extremely confined at Stamford Bridge, which forced away teams to change in a health club behind the Matthew Harding Stand during lockdown.

And the duo aren't the only clubs to have complained about the facilities.

Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl demanded a change in October 2020.

“We lose nearly three minutes," the Austrian said.

"Down the stairs, up the stairs, I don’t know where. You want to coach, you want to reorganise the team.

"You have this time and they are struggling to go in this quick.”
